Why, yes. Yes. She. Can. Becky first took the storyteller’s stage in May 2018 at the urging of a friend. Much to her surprise, she walked off that night as both the month’s winner (Topic: Mother) and the final qualifier for Dayton’s 2018 Grand Slam. So, the following month, Becky climbed the stage again. At the end of that remarkable evening of stories, humbled and honored, Becky was named Story Slam Dayton’s 2018 Grand Slam Champion. And, this introvert continues to slam. Becky qualified to compete in the Grand Slam 2019 (Topic: Lost and Found), in the Grand Slam 2020 (Topic: Social Distancing), and by winning the monthly StorySlam in November 2020 (Topic: Relief), Becky qualified for the 4rd consecutive year to compete in Dayton’s Grand Slam finals.
In June 2021, for the second time, Becky was named Story Slam Dayton’s 2021 Grand Slam Champion (Topic: Re-Entry).

Story Slam Dayton, at Wiley’s Comedy Club, Dayton, Ohio, usually held the 3rd Tuesday of every month (Sep-June). Verify dates and location (under COVID restrictions some are virtual) at the the Story Slam Dayton Facebook page. Dayton’s GrandSlam is generally held the 3rd Tuesday of June, and features winners from each of the previous months (Sep-May).
